Beaumeade I

Our first facility in Ashburn Virginia and is now the home of Raging Wire Enterprise Solutions. The new 100,000+ square foot powered data base center will be built out and ready to operate in April 2012. Total time from powered shell to full data center is less then 12 months.

Facility Features

  • Single-Story neutral data center
  • 70,000 sq. ft. of 3-foot raised flooring designed at 200 Watts/sq. ft. of customer office and fit-up space
  • Tilt up concrete constructions
  • 24 feet clar from slab to ceiling
  • Designed across all systems to be concurrently maintainable and ault tolarant with a utility outage

Power

  • 34.5kV primary voltage utility feed underground from Beaumeade Substation across the Old Dominion and Washington Trail
  • 21.5 MVA of contracted power from dominion Power
  • 14.4 MW of critical IT load in a distributed redundant UPS design
  • 28MW of backup diesel generator capacity

Cooling

  • Five 600 ton air-cooled chillers and three 1500 ton water-cooled chillers provided true 2N+1 cooling
  • Dual water supply: primary water source is reclaimed water with secondary portable water feed
  • Air-side and water-side economizers designed to handle the full building load
  • Mix of air-cooled and water-cooled chiller systems to ensure reliability and redundancy wtih two sources of water

Security

  • 24x7x265 with a minimum of two dedicated security gaurds
  • IP-based cameras and security systems with DVR retention
  • SSAE 16 and PCI compliant and audited
  • Facility fenced or bollards around entire perimeter

Fiber

  • dual entrance into the data center from the north and south through redundant conduit system
  • Fiber carries: XO Communications, AboveNet, Level 3 Communications, Verizon Business, Fibergate, Comcast, and Fiberlight

Hazards

  • No known hazards in proximity
